Commuters angered by the I-85 HOT lane are holding a public meeting at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center on Thursday evening.
They say State Road and Tollway Authority representatives in charge of the lane will not attend, but SRTA will provide written answers to questions about the lane. The organizers said they have invited an outside supporter of HOT lanes in order to present both sides of the issue.

Chief Superior Court Judge Amanda Williams of Brunswick has relinquished control of her drug court operation and will no longer preside over criminal cases until a state judicial watchdog investigation has ended, Judge Anthony Harrison, one of five Superior Court judges in the five-county circuit, said Wednesday.
The Judicial Qualifications Commission last week filed a civil ethics complaint against Williams, accusing her of indefinitely incarcerating defendants, making false statements and engaging in nepotism and "tryrannical partiality." A trial is expected next year to determine if she violated her oath of office and, if so, whether she should be disciplined. BILL RANKIN
