MARTA police have determined a black canvas bag found at the Arts Center train station not dangerous.

Cara Hodgson, spokeswoman for MARTA, said the incident is all clear and the package was not explosive.

Around 3:30 p.m. APD spokesman Otis Redmond said the streets around Peachtree and 15th Streets were shut down but he didn’t know specifics because “that’s MARTA’s jurisdiction.”

Officials with Midtown Blue, a  private security force,  sent a message to businesses in the area advising workers to take alternate routes and to stay clear of the area as the situation was being investigated.

But not long after, everyone got the all clear.
