Police identified a man who died after being thrown from his motorcycle and struck by another vehicle Wednesday in DeKalb County.

The driver, 40-year-old Jeffery Scribner of Snellville, lost control while changing lanes on I-285, DeKalb police Maj. Stephen Fore said Thursday.

The accident resulted in traffic delays blocking several lanes of northbound I-285 near I-85.

“It does not appear any charges will be filed, but the accident is still under investigation,” Fore said.

No other details were released.
