Clayton County police are investigating a fatal shooting at an apartment complex in College Park on Tuesday morning.
Terence Daniels, 39, of College Park was killed in the incident around 9:30 a.m. at an apartment in the Gardenwood complex off Garden Walk Boulevard, police said.
Allen Ford lives in the unit directly above the apartment where the shooting took place.
“I did not hear anything, so it was very shocking to me to wake up and find this type of activity outside,” said Ford, who has lived in the Gardenwood complex for about a year.
“This is probably the third time we’ve seen something like this in the last two months,” Ford told the AJC.
“Shootings and people getting hurt, so I’m not sure what’s going on here,” he said. “I wish there was something we could do to talk to the people in the community, that this has got to come to an end."
Ford said he knew the victim as a neighbor, but not well enough to know his name. He said he was “just thankful” that none of the bullets fired Tuesday morning came into his apartment.
