Police are investigating a shooting early Tuesday that left a man dead in northeast Atlanta.
The victim was standing on the sidewalk in the 600 block of Parkway Drive between Ponce de Leon and North avenues shortly after midnight when the gunman drove up in a black Pontiac Grand Prix and fired multiple shots.
"It looks like the shooter came up in a car initially and at one point, exited that vehicle and fired toward the victim," Atlanta police Lt. Paul Guerrucci told Channel 2 Action News.
The victim, a man in his 30s whose name has not been released, was shot in the head.
Police have not disclosed a motive for the shooting.
