Man on overpass fence clogs traffic on I-285 in DeKalb
A man hanging from the fence of an I-285 overpass in DeKalb County was unharmed Sunday afternoon after being talked down.
The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. on Redan Road and stalled traffic there and in both directions on I-285. An Atlanta Journal-Constitution staff member was at the scene and said the man was pulled to safety by DeKalb County police officers.
Messages left with the DeKalb County Police Department were not immediately returned. The Georgia Department of Transportation could not confirm the incident but said just before 1 p.m. that all lanes of I-285 were open near Redan Road.
