Atlanta police are investigating the shooting of a man found dead early Tuesday inside his northwest Atlanta home.
A friend of 33-year-old Randy Cherry discovered Cherry’s body when he went to the home in the 1400 block of Bolton Road to visit Cherry, Channel 2 Action News reported.
When no one came to the door, the friend looked in a window and saw the victim on a sofa, bleeding.
“It appears to be a gunshot wound to his head,” Atlanta police Capt. J.V. Snowden told Channel 2. “We’re still investigating to find out just what happened.”
Investigators have not released a motive for slaying and have not said whether any suspects have been identified.
