A man was found dead in an apartment complex breezeway on Saturday evening, Duluth police said.

Akeem Turner was not conscious or breathing when police arrived at the Colonial Grand at River Plantation around 9:20 p.m. He was later declared dead.

A neighbor told officers he saw Turner in a car with a “super tall” man before another man ran up to the car and shouted, “Give me everything you got.” The neighbor went inside because he feared the shouting man would see him. After going inside, the neighbor heard gunshots and called 911, according to a police report.

There are no photos or videos available of the suspects and little descriptive information. Anyone with information about this case can contact the Duluth Police Department at 770-476-4151 or email crimetip@duluthpd.com.
