DeKalb County police are investigating a shooting outside Partyroom, a Memorial Drive nightclub near Stone Mountain.

A 27-year-old man was suffering from gunshot wounds when officers arrived around 4 a.m. Friday, Maj. Stephen Fore said. The victim, whose identity hasn’t been released, was in critical condition when transported to the hospital.

It was “Lit Up Thursdayz” at the club Thursday night and a birthday party, according to Partyroom’s Instagram account.

A 23-year-old alleged shooter was detained at the scene. Police haven’t said if he’s been charged.

“Preliminary investigation suggest the two males had a previous argument inside the location that continued outside leading up to the shooting,” Fore said.
