A man’s body was found late Monday off I-20, according to the Villa Rica Police Department. But investigators don’t believe it belongs to the Douglas County teacher missing since May 9.

Monday night, a passerby found the body on I-20 near the ramp to Ga. 61, Villa Rica police Capt. Keith Shaddix said.

There was no obvious signs of foul play, he said. The body was taken to the GBI crime lab where an autopsy will be conducted, Shaddix said.

Police do not believe the body belongs to Larry Bolen, a 62-year-old Douglas County man, Shaddix said. Bolen, a high school English teacher, was set to retire at the end of the school year.

But on the morning of May 9, he disappeared after getting breakfast at a Chick-fil-A, his family said. Bolen’s minivan was found days later at Hunter Park, but the father of two has not been found.
