The Lilburn City Council recently voted unanimously to approve an ordinance modifying city code to include regulations on businesses that permit the smoking of hookah or vapor. The ordinance is similar to Gwinnett County’s restrictions on hookah/vapor bars or lounges.

The new ordinance prohibits the sale of food and alcohol inside hookah/vapor bars or lounges. Gambling on the premises is equally prohibited. The ordinance also prevents establishments from being open before 7 a.m. or after 11 p.m. and prohibits anyone under the age of 18 inside. Additional provisions regulate air ventilation requirements.
