Following a public hearing, the Lilburn city council approved a request Monday from a single-family homeowner for annexation of 6.7 acres into the city. The land to be annexed abuts the existing boundary of Lilburn and is currently zoned at the county’s lowest density single family residential zoning.

The property owner requested annexation after the abutting 46.5 acres on Arcado Road was annexed into the city in December 2015 for a subdivision.

The property will be zoned at the city’s lowest density single family residential zoning. No further development is currently planned for the 6.7 acres.
