Lawrenceville offering amnesty for certain unpaid warrants in November

The city of Lawrenceville is offering amnesty to people who have not paid the extra fees associated with certain warrants in the month of November.

The city is offering people who voluntarily appear in person to pay outstanding warrants in full a waiver of associated fees, which could be up to $200. The warrants included are failure to appear and probation violation charges, according to a city release.

In order to get the fee waiver, you must pay to clear the warrant in full using cash, credit or debit card, money order or certified check. Then, the additional fee will be waived. You must contact the municipal court at 770-963-3288 to learn how much it will cost to clear the warrant.

Payments can be made at the Lawrenceville Municipal Court, located at 70 S. Clayton St. in the lower level of City Hall. The municipal court is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. The amnesty period closes after Nov. 30.
