Lawrenceville giving away free mulch on upcoming Saturdays

Players put down mulch after planting the trees. The Texas State football team planted native species along the San Marcos River Friday April 29th, 2016 to help with past flood damage and future flood control and erosion. Lawrenceville is giving away free mulch to help you with some late spring gardening.

While it already feels like summer, it’s still technically springtime, and a prime time to beautify your yard. To get a leg up for free, you can pick up some mulch on May 25 and June 1.

The mulch will be available from 9 a.m. to noon on both Saturdays. You can pick it up at 460 Paper Mill Road, but you must bring your own method of transport for the mulch to your vehicle, like a wheelbarrow.

The mulch is untreated, meaning it does not have additives like herbicides.
