Following a public hearing, the Lilburn City Council recently approved a change in zoning conditions for 732 Harbins Road to allow for a laundry establishment. The change was approved with the condition that the hours of laundry operation be concurrent with the hours of the convenience store.
The applicant, Harbin Way Corporation, intends to operate a 1,300-square-foot self-serve coin laundry facility in the middle tenant space of the building. The business will serve the needs of nearby multi-family and single family residents. The applicant explained the relationship between the convenience store and laundromat, indicating an attendant on duty would supervise both spaces and could provide wash/dry service. The business will close at 11 p.m. All previous conditions remain in effect.
