Lake Sidney Lanier has updated its special use permits website with a new process for commercial activities, including movie-making and drone flying.

"All commercial operations, commercial filming activities, and use of drones at Lake Sidney Lanier must apply and be approved for the activity prior to use," the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said on its Facebook page.

Commercial special use includes dock work and rip-rap; fishing guides; equipment/boat rental; instructional classes; filming projects, and drone use, according to the website: https://bit.ly/2DMIvyf

The Army Corps also updated its Bridges and Ramps Excel file to include a clearance change for Bolding Bridge, to 1,093 feet at the center of the bridge. Traveling closer to water's edge will result in a lower clearance, the Corps said.To download clearances for all bridges and a list of ramps open or closed during lake level changes, go to the link under "Related Links": https://bit.ly/2TwOWe8
