The management of Lake Lanier has good news for the holder of an annual pass or “America the Beautiful” interagency pass: If it’s supposed to expire between April 30, 2020 and March 31, 2021, it’s now good for an additional seven months — to make up for recreational opportunities lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ordinarily, the passes are good for one year, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The seven-month extension, it said, “will help mitigate the inability of visitors to use their passes during the coronavirus mandatory stay-at-home orders.”
A pass that was to expire on April 30, for example, is now good through Nov. 30. A pass purchased this past March, just before pass sales were suspended, will be good until Oct. 31, 2021.
"Retain your current USACE annual pass hangtag for proper display (beyond Oct. 1)," the Corps said. Information: https://bit.ly/2LUWS75
