Thirteen middle school students were taken to a local hospital after a car failed to yield to a passing school bus Tuesday in Henry County.
The car failed to yield while entering Rock Quarry Road at the entrance to the Piedmont Henry Hospital emergency room, county police Capt. Joey Smith said. About 8:25 a.m., the car crashed into the school bus, which was headed to Eagle’s Landing Middle School.
About 35 students were on the bus at the time of accident, Smith said.
In addition to the 13 students, the driver and passenger in the car went to Piedmont, Smith said.
However, “there are no serious injuries reported at this time,” he said.
