The city of Kennesaw will host its bi-annual event allowing residents to camp out under the stars at one of its parks.
The Backyard Campout event will be held from 5 p.m. Saturday, March 30 to 9 a.m. Sunday, March 31 at Swift-Cantrell Park. Registration is required to participate, and the fee is $25 per camp site. That cost includes a hot dog dinner and biscuit breakfast.
Along with nighttime camping, participants will enjoy games, activities, discovery stations, stargazing, s’mores and other campfire entertainment.
Kennesaw’s Backyard Campout event is hosted by its Parks and Recreation Department, and the initiative is designed to get families to experience the outdoors.
