A subdivision of 83 single-family houses on 44 acres was approved Jan. 16 by the Kennesaw City Council.

The property is at 4005, 4003 and 666 Pine Mountain Road, also including annexation from the county. Builder Marietta-based Venture Homes will provide 19.73 acres of open space and green space which is about 45 percent of the total acreage. The HOA covenants will limit the number of rental units to no more than 15 percent.

Sean Randall, senior vice president of Venture Homes, told the Council the houses will range from 2,400 to 3,600 square feet with prices from $350,000 to $450,000.

Last year, Randall said Venture Homes closed 272 homes with nearly $80 million in real estate and 60 percent of those closings in Cobb.
