Authorities have identified a man killed Friday when a train hit a truck on U.S. Highway 29 in Coweta County.

Tomylanier Ashley, a Jonesboro man in his late 40s, died shortly after the collision near Walt Sanders Road, Coweta County Coroner Richard Hawk said.

Video footage from a Channel 2 Action News helicopter showed a box truck ripped apart, laying on its side near the railroad tracks.

The accident is still under investigation.
