Police in Johns Creek are searching for a man who snatched a woman’s purse away while she was shopping at Kroger.

The incident occurred on June 18. Police said the suspect used the victim’s credit cards at several stores in the area after he stole the purse.

Police did not say if there was any cash in the purse, or how much money the man spent with the victim’s credit cards.

According to the police report, the victim --- a 66-year-old Marietta woman --- was shopping at the Kroger at 10945 State Bridge Road around 11:30 a.m. The victim was walking to her car with her granddaughter when the man ran past her and “snatched her purse” off her shoulder.

A witness attempted to record the incident with her phone, but the man quickly jumped into a red Honda Civic and headed south on Jones Bridge Road.

Inside the purse was several credit cards, the victim’s driver’s license, cell phone and calendar.
