The city of Johns Creek will hold a town meeting 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the city council chambers at Johns Creek City Hall, 12000 Findley Road.

The meeting is being held to gather public input and answer questions on the city’s plan to create a central business district in a 728-acre area centered around Technology Park. It follows a series of pubic information meetings, open houses and concept presentations. The city is working with consultant Urban Design Associates.

City officials envision a combined office, retail, residential and entertainment core aimed at both giving residents a sense of place and boosting the city tax base, which is weighted heavily toward residential.

Following the meeting, the consultant group will work with city officials on a draft plan, to be presented to the public in mid-summer.
