Ignite Adventure Park will take the place of part of a former Walmart Neighborhood Market and next to Movie Tavern in the Sandy Plains Village Shopping Center.

The Cobb County Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 in favor on March 19.

No one showed up in opposition.

The site is almost 16 acres on the southwest side of Woodstock Road, the west side of Mabry Road and the south side of Sandy Plains Road.

The family-oriented facility will include at least five of the following: wall/rock climbing, indoor trampolines, foam pit jumping/inflatables, laser tag, ropes course/ninja warrior course, arcade games, mini-golf/putt-putt golf/black-light golf, bowling, slides, soft play/ballistic soft play, electric go-karts or electric bumper cars.

The sale of beer, wine and liquor will be allowed for on-site consumption.

Proposed hours will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 9 p.m. Sundays.

Required security cameras must be registered with the Cobb Police Camera Registry.

The total square footage for the tenant space is 66,092 square feet with no expansion in square footage or height.

There will be 683 parking spaces.

The applicant and property owner is DDR Southeast Sandy Plains LLC.
