Thanksgiving is right around the corner, Gwinnett, which means only one very important question can be on your mind.

How does this affect my trash pickup?

The answer: Thanksgiving Thursday is a "trash and recycling holiday" for residents of unincorporated Gwinnett County. Collection that usually takes places on Thursdays will be pushed back to Friday, and Friday collections will take place on Saturday, county officials said.

"Only Thursday and Friday collections will be affected," the county said in a news release.

Residents who live within the limits of a city should contact their trash and recycling provider to find out if collection will be delayed due to the holiday.

All county offices — aside from "those operations required for the comfort and safety of residents" — will be closed Thursday and Friday.
