Two units in the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area are expected to close for a few days the first week of December for road resurfacings.

The National Park Service announced that roughly the top inch of roadways will be ground off and a new top coat, installed, in the Gold Branch unit across the Chattahoochee from Sandy Springs, and the Medlock Bridge unit between Johns Creek and Peachtree Corners.

"The units will be closed for a day or two as the work is being done," the Park Service said in a Facebook posting. The work originally was scheduled for Nov. 26-28 but was delayed because of weather conditions to the week of Dec. 3.

"This is all weather dependent, so check back here before heading to either of those two units," the Park Service said. Information: https://www.facebook.com/CRNRA/
