The Henry County Zoning Advisory Board voted at its May 14 regular meeting to deny a variance request involving a three-acre piece of property that includes land at 28 Crumbley Road as well as 2228 Hwy. 155 North.
The applicant wants to transition the Crumbley Road site from single-family residential to a commercial development that would stretch into the Hwy. 155 property which has an existing commercial development, according to county staff. The variance request was for relief from the requirements involving building materials in the highway corridor overlay district, using some materials that are only permitted on residential construction.
