After a few weeks of inaction on several proposed remedies, the Henry County Board of Commissioners voted Nov. 19 to repair Cochran Park and then give it to the city of Stockbridge.
The board authorizes $550,000 in infrastructure repairs on the condition that Stockbridge take ownership of the park along with its operations and maintenance. No decision has been announced by the city, which received a formal resolution from the county the afternoon of Nov. 20.
City officials said there is no specific timeline right now for when any action might be taken by the City Council.
