As expected, moisture from Tropical Storm Harvey brought rain to metro Atlanta on Wednesday.
Light showers remained in the metro area through the afternoon, but none have turned severe, according to Channel 2 Action News.
“After several dry days, rain moved in with a few isolated showers this morning,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said. “We’ve had periods of rain off and on, and so far they’ve been very light.”
Humidity is high at 90 percent, but clouds from the storm also kept temperatures in the 70s. By 6 p.m., the temperature in downtown Atlanta was 70. The average high for this time of year is 87 degrees.
Harvey made landfall for the second time this week, hitting an area in Louisiana about 90 miles east of Galveston, Texas, according to the National Weather Service.

The system, which has already led to 20 deaths, devastating flooding and a rainfall record of 51.88 inches, was downgraded to a tropical depression by Wednesday night.
Showers could diminish overnight, but scattered showers could return Thursday morning, Nitz said. Downpours are expected to arrive by noon.
Storms are also predicted Friday, with temps in the low 80s.
