The Gwinnett Federal Credit Union has pledged $50,000 to the Gwinnett Tech Foundation to pay for scholarships over the next decade.

The gift commemorates the credit union's 50th anniversary. Foundation Executive Director Mary Beth Byerly said the scholarships will help students in difficult economic times.

Gwinnett Tech is among the nation’s fastest-growing two-year colleges, serving more than 22,000 students annually.
