Ricoh Logistics Corporation is shutting down a Lawrenceville shipping facility and warehouse, affecting 50 workers.

Ricoh Logistics is permanently discontinuing their warehouse and shipping functions in Georgia. Any of those functions that will remain in the state will be handled by Ricoh Electronics, Inc. Both companies are under the umbrella of Ricoh Company, a Japanese electronics company.

“Approximately 90 percent” of the facility’s full-time workers will be rehired by Ricoh Electronics, Inc., a Ricoh Logistics spokeswoman said.

The warehouse is located on Hurricane Shoals Road in Lawrenceville. A Georgia WARN notice was posted about the closure, notifying the public of the affect on the jobs.
