An Asian seafood restaurant in Gwinnett County failed its recent health inspection, with officials reporting dirty walls, floors, sinks and dishes, as well as multiple foods being improperly thawed or cooked.

East Pearl Seafood Restaurant, located at 1810 Liddell Lane in Duluth, got a 44/U on the Thursday inspection.

According to officials, "objects such as gloves, trash, metal sponges and a bowl" were in "hand sinks throughout the kitchen." Several dirty dishes were also "stacked as clean" and "a number of dented cans" were observed.

The report said raw pork was thawing in a sink alongside raw chicken and duck.

"Floors and walls need to be cleaned throughout the kitchen," it said.

A person who answered the phone at East Pearl on Friday afternoon said a manager was not immediately available for comment.
