The Gwinnett County Police Department will host two "coffee with a cop" events this week.

"The mission of Coffee with a Cop," the department's flier said,  "is to break down the barriers between police officers and the residents they serve by removing agendasand allowing opportunities to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in your community."

The first event will be from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Magnolia Bakery and Cafe, located at 5175 South Old Peachtree Road in Peachtree Corners.

The second will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Chick-fil-a at 545 Dacula Road in Dacula.
