UPDATE: Hooters has passed its re-inspection with a near-perfect 98/A less than a week after earning a failing health grade.
The restaurant in Duluth near the Gwinnett Place Mall was only cited for one violation: having cooler gaskets in need of repair.
Original story: The Hooters restaurant near the Gwinnett Place Mall has failed its latest health inspection, records show.
The wing-slinging breastaurant earned a 56/U on its Thursday inspection, in part for lacking "active managerial control" and failing to maintain "good retail practices," the report said.
Unwashed mushrooms were stored over washed, ready-to-eat lettuce, and raw frozen turkey burgers were stored above uncovered broccoli, the report said. Cheese and coleslaw were also held at unsafe temperatures, according to the report.
The restaurant’s two previous inspections yielded a 100/A and 94/A.
Hooters did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
