Gwinnett County Fire Investigators are trying to determine who set a Lawrenceville woman’s lawn on fire.
The woman went outside to walk her dog on Aug. 16 and found a fire smoldering on the lawn. After she called 911, firefighters found a second fire on the property, a department release said.

The fires were started using an “ignitable liquid,” according to investigators. They were set on opposite corners of the house, causing minor cosmetic damage and scorching a fence and flowerbed. No one was injured and the inside of the house was undamaged.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Gwinnett Fire Investigations at 678-518-4890 or the Georgia Arson Control Hotline at 1-800-282-5804. Those who provide Georgia Arson Control with tips leading to an arrest and conviction may be rewarded with up to $10,000.
