A Georgia Department of Driver Services office in Gwinnett County has reopened a day after a driver crashed into it.

The Norcross office re-opened at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, said Susan Sports, a spokeswoman for the department. A man in his 50s drove through a window in the building Wednesday morning.

The man, who was not on a road test, confused the gas for the brake and accidentally drove into the window. Two people inside the building were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Sports said.

The office was closed for the remainder of the day March 27 to assess the damage and determine that the building was still safe. There was no structural damage and the broken window has been boarded up until a replacement arrives, Sports said.

The driver will not be charged with a crime, said Sgt. Arelis Rivera, a spokeswoman for the Norcross Police Department said.
