A Gwinnett County country club failed a routine health inspection Thursday, records show.

Northwood Country Club in Lawrenceville earned a 56/U on the inspection. Expired milk was found in the fridge and there was inconsistent labeling procedures for food including hot dogs, smoked salmon and ribs, the report said.

Food containers were stacked while still wet, and water was leaking from a dishwasher onto the floor, according to the report. The country club was also cited for having week-old smoked salmon and storing dirty produce above clean produce.

“The entire staff at Northwood Country Club takes the cleanliness of our club very seriously, especially in areas where food is prepared and served,” said Patty Jerde, a spokeswoman for ClubCorp, the parent company of Northwood Country Club. “We are in the process of rectifying all of the issues cited by the inspector and will be re-training our employees so that standards are met in the future.”
