Peachtree Corners City Manager Brian Johnson will discuss the city’s restrictions on backyard chickens and golf cart use at the United Peachtree Corners Civic Association’s Aug. 21 meeting.
There are currently no proposed changes to the city’s policies on those topics, but Johnson plans to listen to the group’s feelings and ideas about the issues, said Judy Putnam, a city spokeswoman.

Currently, backyard chickens can only be kept on residential property in the city that is at least three acres in size. Golf carts are not permitted to be driven on city roads.
“If the majority of the residents express interest in modifying either of these current ordinances, the city manager would bring it up at a future city council work session for further discussion,” Putnam said.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 5575 Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree Corners.
