Gwinnett approves contract for Ridge Road pedestrian project

Gwinnett Board of Commissioners recently approved a $572,933 contract with CMES, Inc. for a Ridge Road pedestrian improvement project. The contract, which went to the lowest bidder, will improve Ridge Road in unincorporated Gwinnett from Ga. 20/Buford Drive to Highland Oaks Way.
This project will construct sidewalks on the south side of Ridge Road from Buford Drive to Highland Oaks Way. A new water main, curb and gutter as well as drainage improvements will also be included. This contract is funded 71.74 percent by the 2009 Special Local Option Sales Tax program.
