The Georgia Taxpayers Alliance plans to demonstrate against a proposed transportation sales tax measure from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday outside the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville.

Voters will decide on July 31 whether to approve a new one percent sales tax to pay for a host of road and transit projects. The sales tax could raise about $7 billion for transportation improvements in the 10-county Atlanta area over 10 years.
