Atlanta residents who want fresh food can pre-order produce from Green Market and pick it up this weekend, Green Market manager Mary Yetter said in a statement.

The Green Market, located near the 12th Street entrance of Piedmont Park, is delaying its opening amid the coronavirus outbreak, but wanted to provide residents access to fresh food while helping its vendors, Yetter said.

“We will continually reassess the opening date as new recommendations and updates are available,” Yetter said.

Residents can pick up their pre-ordered items from vendors between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday.

Customers can use the parking lot at 1071 Piedmont Ave., behind Willy’s Mexicana Grill, where Green Market staff will give them their purchase.

Yetter said staff will be monitoring the number of people picking up, so some customers may be asked to wait at a distance for safety reasons.

Residents can purchase their produce from a list of vendors here. Anyone with questions can email market@piedmontpark.org.
