The Goodwill store and career center on Piedmont Road has reopened after the I-85 bridge fire and collapse temporarily closed it.

Goodwill of North Georgia announced the location’s reopening Tuesday afternoon. After the Thursday evening incident, the store was closed indefinitely, but the company always planned on reopening the location.

Transportation officials reopened one northbound lane and three southbound lanes of Piedmont Road by Tuesday morning, allowing traffic to flow more freely in the area.

The store at 2135 Piedmont Rd. NE is open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. There was no damage to the store following the nearby bridge fire.
