Girl hit by stray bullet

A 10-year-old girl is in stable condition at Grady Memorial hospital after being struck by a stray bullet Saturday night.

The incident took place on Plaza Lane in southwest Atlanta.

According to police, the little girl was sitting in the kitchen when she was shot.

“There was a dispute prior and someone began shooting,” said Lisa Keyes, spokeswoman for the Atlanta Police Department. “One of the bullets struck her and she was transported to Grady.”

No further information was available.
