DeKalb County is hosting its first Kites Over DeKalb Festival this spring, officials announced this week.

The county’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will put on the festival Sunday, April 14 from noon to 4 p.m. at Wade Walker Park in Stone Mountain.

The free event, which is open to all ages, will feature music, bounce houses, kite-flying demonstrations and food vendors.

Attendees can bring their own kites or construct one for free at a kite-making station. Participants can register for the festival online.
