Georgia DOT invests millions in Gwinnett road resurfacing
The Georgia Department of Transportation announced two projects for road improvements in Gwinnett.
Resurfacing projects were awarded to contractors for work on State Route 8/US 29/Crogan St/Winder Highway in Barrow and Gwinnett from Stanley Court in Lawrenceville just into Barrow County. The 7.39-mile-long project will be complete by Sept. 30 at a cost of $2.9 million by C.W. Matthews Contracting Co. of Marietta.
In addition, repaving will take place on State Route 13/Buford Highway from Old Peachtree/Rodgers Bridge Roads to State Route 20. This 9.3-mile-long project will be complete by Sept. 30 at a cost of $2.6 million by E.R. Snell Contractor of Snellville.
Construction start dates have not been determined yet.
