With temperatures expected to stay above 90 degrees this week, DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs is extending free admission to all of the seven county pools through 6 p.m. Thursday with the exception of the Browns Mill Aquatic Facility.
However, two DeKalb County pools are closed temporarily.
The Kelly Cofer pool, 4259 N. Park Dr. Tucker, GA 30084, is closed after an electrical surge resulting from lightning damage. Equipment to the pool is expected to be repaired and the pool reopened by Saturday.
A water main break has closed the pool at Gresham Park, 3113 Gresham Road, Atlanta. The recreation center is not affected by the water main break and remains open.
