Chief Judge Jeffrey S. Bagley of the Forsyth County Superior Court, recently elected to a fourth term, is set to take the oath of office at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place in Courtroom 501 of the Forsyth County Courthouse, 101 E. Courthouse Square, Cumming. After the ceremony, Bagley will deliver a State of the Courts address.

The address “will cover accomplishments over the past four years, including moving into the new courthouse and future plans for the courts of the Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit,” according to a county announcement.

Bagley practiced law for 10 years before serving three years as a State Court judge in Forsyth County. During that time, he served a simultaneous, two-year term as a Juvenile Court judge. He has been a Bell-Forsyth superior court judge since 2000 and chief judge of the circuit since 2003.
