Neat Robinson, who recently completed a stint as a member of the Stockbridge City Council, was appointed by Gov. Brian Kemp to the state’s Board of Corrections. She was sworn in Jan. 14 at the Capitol. Robinson’s past work experience includes a stint with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office as a corrections officer. She was nominated to the board by Henry County Board of Commissioners chair June Wood, who served on the board until recently stepping down.
Robinson is representing the 13th Congressional District on the 19-member body. She served four years on the Stockbridge City Council before losing a re-election bid two months ago.
