The city of Atlanta will open its warming center for two days as temperatures are expected to drop into the low 30s this evening.
Atlanta will open the Old Adamsville Recreation Center at 8 p.m, the city announced. It will remain open through Thursday morning.
The temperature in Atlanta was 48 degrees just after 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to Channel 2 Action News. The day started in the 60s.
Wednesday’s temperatures are expected to be in the mid-40s before dropping to the 30s, according to the news station.
The warming center is located at 3404 Delmar Lane in northwest Atlanta. Transportation will be provided to the center from Gateway Center, which offers services to homeless people.
Gateway is located at 275 Pryor Street.
