Rain will stick around through the weekend, which could spell trouble for flood-soaked metro Atlanta neighborhoods.

A third night of heavy storms led the National Weather Service to call for a flash flood warning in east Cobb Cobb County that just ended.

"Some areas got as much as four to six inches," Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton said.

Robinson Road in Marietta was completely flooded earlier this morning, and police shut down the road, and parts of Northside Drive in Atlanta and homes in the Grant Park neighborhood flooded overnight, Channel 2 Action News reports.

Power outages continued, with Georgia Power reporting 2,600 customers without power as of 4:30 a.m.

Although rainfall is tapering off for the morning and flooding is receding around the metro area, Minton says more rain is on the way.

"There will be more storms coming in here later on by the afternoon," she said. "Showers and thunderstorms will be scattered about."

The chances of precipitation will remain at 80 percent through Thursday, dropping to 40 percent on Friday and decreasing to 30 percent through Monday.
